Happy Halloween, folks. Here’s a little seasonal gift for you. Zombie Genocide is the first of six films that I made with Andrew Harrison (as Midnight Pictures) between the years 1991 and 2005.
It was hard making a film on a shoestring budget at a time when our home computers didn’t even possess hard drives. No digital gunshots, no digital blood spatters. Nothing was easy, not even the editing, which had to be done on the camcorder, shot for shot, as we filmed. But the joy of the work was its uniqueness; in the early 1990s almost no one was making movies as a hobby. We persevered for two and a half years to make this, and the result is a little homegrown horror flick that has a strange charm.
